Today's Meditation

In essence, Christianity is nothing more, nothing less than a desire and an effort to see Jesus. That's all it is. We're trying to catch a glimpse of a man, not a program, not a plan, not a system, not a doctrine. We're trying to see a man who called himself the Son of God.

As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so continue to live in him. Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him."
Colossians 2: 6-7

The above meditation comes from a devotional calendar that I received as a gift. I can't put a name next to the quote because I tore off the first page of the calendar and I don't remember his name.

The Look

Haejin unnie, sis and I watched "what a girl wants" (I think) today, and of course my sis and I HAD to watch Bridget Jones' Diary again. Colin Firth does "the look" soooooo well. If you're a girl, and you've seen either of those movies, you know what I mean. It's like, every time he looked at Bridget my sis and I just fell backwards in a swoon. Sigh. Ok. Just wanted to say that thankfully no man ever EVER will get to master "the look" because that would bring about total chaos. It is, by definition, "the look" because it is sincere... No such thing as fake sincerity. xP

On another topic, my sis and I were talking today.. It made me realize what true nerds Berkeley has made us. She misses the higher math classes where she was challenged intellectually and she was able to feel that satisfaction of working out a problem and knowing that she could do it. I couldn't help but agree. (Although the only math class I took in Berkeley was Math 1A, so I miss Physics more than Math.)Ah, I remember those days when I would walk to and from class, around campus, just walking, all the while trying to solve a problem or trying to remember something from lecture... Those were the days... Too bad my grades were never based on my level of contentment. -_-;;

PS: I really REALLY REALLY hope I don't have to substitute tomorrow...
