Meditation
The ordinances of the LORD are sure
and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the comb.
By them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
Who can discern his errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May the words of my mouth and
the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:9-14
We call Sunday, the Lord's day. It is a day of celebration. The day Jesus rose from the dead, fulfilled His promise, completed the work of salvation. It is a day we give to the Lord to thank Him, to be with Him. Jesus promised to be with us when two people gather in His name. May we not wake up on Sunday to live out what has become routine. May we find joy in the Lord, may our hearts be filled with praise and worship. We are set apart, called to be holy as Christians. We are called to set one day apart, to keep it holy. That day is Sunday.
